Well, this is the first post on this Blog site, never done a blog before so it should be interesting to learn how to do all this...T minus 13 days before I leave, getting itineraries figured out and all...shots taken, visas all good, got my pills and such, so I'm rarin' to go...
So, in case you are trying to figure out what I'm doing (I'm still trying to figure it out too!) I'm leaving Monday, August 3 to travel to 5 different missionary families in 5 different countries. My first stop is in Ghana, Africa...I've just come to realize that it will take me about 70 hours to get from LAX to my final destination between flights and layovers...
Then I travel to South Africa, to Johannesburg for a few days, I will meet up with Brandon there on Tuesday, August 11, then together we will go to Mozambique, Africa, then on to Hyderabad, India, then on to the Philippine Islands...
We should return on August 25...
Please pray for these next several days until I leave for good quality time with my family...they are all a little (okay, maybe a lot) apprehensive about this trip...but overall we are doing great.
